Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Our commitment
We at BasicGear are working to make basicgeartackle.com accessible to people with disabilities. An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors — through the capabilities of the device they're using and assistive technologies.
What we've done on this site
We develop this site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as our target. As part of this effort, we have:
- Set the language of the site and used semantic HTML with clear heading structures on every page
- Added alternative text to meaningful images
- Made navigation, menus, forms, and disclosure controls operable by keyboard
- Used color combinations chosen for contrast against our dark backgrounds
- Respected the "reduce motion" system preference — animations are minimized when it is enabled
- Kept touch targets comfortably large and managed focus in dialogs and overlays
Third-party content
Some pages depend on content that does not belong to BasicGear: purchases are completed on Amazon.com, and some pages embed videos hosted by YouTube. The accessibility of those experiences is governed by the respective providers, so we declare partial conformance for pages that include them.
Requests, issues and suggestions
If you find an accessibility issue on the site, or if you require further assistance, please contact us at info@basicgeartackle.com or through the contact form. We reply within 2 business days and treat accessibility reports as a priority.
